SPOTLIGHT: Jessica Fisch

Jessica Fisch, a junior Musical Theater major at Pittsburgh's Creative and Performing Arts High School, is a member of HaZamir Pittsburgh. HaZamir: The International Jewish High School Choir creates opportunities for high school students to gather together, sing Jewish choral music, build community, and connect culturally. Jessica says she has been singing her entire life, got serious in eighth grade, and has sinced joined HaZamir. Jessica describes Hazamir as a "spiritual musical experience, combined with the learning of our culture while working with amazing conductors and performers. You make fantastic friendships." The choir performs songs in Hebrew, English, and Yiddish. Jessica's favorite song is Eili Eili. In her spare time Jessica enjoys listening to classic rock, watching stand-up comedy, writing music, and taking photographs.
